Tips Don't be fooled by the amazingly high number of Sections, this
level isn't even that long. There are a lot of traps and pit along
the way, and some can be a real pain in the rear. Check the
walkthrough for tips for each trap.
>>> Story <<<
Finally, you have entered the lair of the Sun God. But before you can fight
him, and end this madness, you still have to cross a lot of dangerous pits,
traps, spikes, blades, and swinging balls. As frustrating as it may sometimes
be, this is actually one of the better levels, in my opinion.
>>> Section 1 <<<
After the cut-scene, just walk forward to the door.
>>> Section 2 <<<
Jump onto the platform with the two vertical spiky beams rotating around it.
From there, jump right. Roll under the horizontal spiky beam, and step on
the tile. Return to the first platform, and now head left. Circle around the
room, dodging spikes as you go. Step on each of the tiles, there are four of
them, one in each corner. When you step on the last one, a column in the
center will rise, and a door opens. Get to the center platform. You have to
jump over a platform with a swinging ball above it, so timing is crucial. On
the center platform, head left, past another swinging ball, and to the door.

Simply jump over the small platforms to the door on the other side.
>>> Section 4 <<<
There's another swinging ball in front of you, but ignore it for now. First,
head right, jump over platforms and roll under beams. There are two
platforms with beams rotating around them. From these platforms, you can
reach two tiles. Once you activated them both, go back to the start and go
left. Activate the two tiles here too, and a door will open. Now return to
the start, and jump past that ball. Jump over some pits, and don't forget to
get the CHARGE from a pot on the left. Now jump to the door.
>>> Section 5 <<<
Fight the Warrior straight ahead, and the two that appear. When all three
enemies are down, step on the lone. This is the same as before, the only
difference is that if you step on a wrong tile, those faces on the walls
will shoots arrows at you. The pattern is:
5|1|6 The top of drawing is where the closed door is. Tile 1, 2, 4 and 9
4|9|2 have a slightly different color. When you got the right pattern, the
8|3|7 door will open.
>>> Section 6 <<<
There are a couple of swinging balls here, over a couple of platforms leading
to the other side. The balls are swinging above the platforms, not between
them, so you can't stay on the platforms for long. As soon as the first ball
passes its lowest point, jump on the first platform and then quickly keep
jumping to the other side.
>>> Section 7 <<<
Jump over the pit, and kill the Warrior that appears. Another pit with a
Warrior behind it, don't forget the NIBBLER you can find in the room the
Warrior came out of. Now continue over yet another pit, to the door.
>>> Section 8 <<<
A couple of platforms lead to a door on the other side. Blocks on the
platforms try to push you in the lava. Jump on the first platform as soon as
the block on it goes right, into the wall. Now quickly follow the platforms,
and you should be alright.
>>> Section 9 <<<
There's another swinging ball over a pit, but unlike the others this one
swings parallel with the corridor. Also, it kills you in one hit. You should
jump to the pit when the ball is away from you. Make sure you don't jump too
far: try to hang on the edge of the pit. Now wait until the ball passes over
your head, and climb up. By the way: don't hang on the center of the ledge,
because the ball might still knock you off there. Instead, stay as close to
the wall as possible. When you're passed the ball, kill the Warrior and
enter the door.
>>> Section 10 <<<
Ah, the beloved sinking path. As soon as you step on it, the narrow path
you're on will start sinking in the lava. Follow it very quickly, before you
sink in the lava with it. Cutting corners will save you some time, but it's
also dangerous, so if you're not too good with the controls, don't try it. I
found it pretty easy if you just keep 'up' pressed down and steer with the
right analog stick. This way is more precise, and you got less chance of
falling off. After a while, you'll come to the second part of the path. Grab
the CHARGE at the start, and make your way to the third part. From there,
get to the door on the other side.
>>> Section 11 <<<
Kill the four Warriors and the Elite. Special Attacks work well if you find
yourself between two foes. You can find a CHARGE in a room on the right.
Now step on the lone tile, as per usual, and press the tiles in the pattern
that appears. The pattern is:
2|6|9 Tiles 1, 4, 5 and 6 once again have a slightly different color. The
5|1|4 bottom of the drawing is where the lone tile is. When you got it right,
8|3|7 a stair to the door will appear. Climb it to end this Section.
>>> Section 12 <<<
As you enter the door, a timer will start. You have around 54 seconds to
press all the tiles in this room. Try avoiding the spinning blades as good
as possible, but don't be too cautious, for it costs you lots of time!
Sometimes you just have to take the pain. Go from left to right and back,
and make sure you don't skip any tiles. You don't want to find out you
forgot the first tile when there's just 10 seconds left. By the way,
jumping seems to help you avoid the blades. When all tiles are activated,
the door opens. Enter it quickly.
>>> Section 13 <<<
First get the NIBBLER on the right. Now just follow the ledges around this
room. There's a lot of spiky beams, but nothing tough. When you get to the
other door, kill the Warrior.
>>> Section 14 <<<
Behind the door are a series of blocks that crush together and then withdraw.
Start running as soon as the first two blocks start separating, and keep
running. If you stop only once, you're dead, but if you keep running, you
should be fine.
>>> Section 15 <<<
Kill the Warrior, and then just advance over the platforms, exactly like in
Section 13. At the other side another Warrior is waiting for you. Kill it
and enter the door.
>>> Section 16 <<<
More swinging balls, and some spinning blades to make it even more
interesting. Timing this part is really difficult. If your health is good,
you might want to consider taking the pain from the blades and focus on
getting past those balls alive. Enter the door on the other side.
>>> Section 17 <<<
Even more swinging balls, this time they're swinging parallel with the
corridor again. Apply the same tactics as in Section 9. After three of
these balls, you will be attacked by three Warriors at once. A special
attack takes care of them really quickly. After that an Elite appears. Kill
him, and check the room he came out of for the last NIBBLER. Now use the
tiles on the floor. The pattern is:
7|3|8 Once again, tiles 1, 3, 4 and 5 have a slightly different color. When
4|1|5 you have activated the tiles in the correct order, enter the door that
9|6|2 opens.
>>> Section 18 <<<
Finally, you've reached the Sun God. Jump on the fist platform, and the God
will brag a bit. After that, the fight will start. This is a little map of
the area you're in:
C P are the two platforms you can jump on. C is the platform
P P ahead, but it's guarded by a blue force field. XXX is a
LLL XXX ledge to your right, but it's of no importance. LLL is a ledge
that becomes accessible when you've picked up the blue crystal
on C.
The God will hurls balls of fire at you. If you keep jumping from P to P, you
should avoid at least 90% of the balls. After a couple of balls, the Sun God
will raise his arms. The force field over C will now disappear for a couple
of seconds. Jump on C, and get the blue crystal. The God will attack with a
ring of fire, you can jump over it or wait on the box with the crystal on it
to pass. Now the blocks that block LLL will be gone, so jump on LLL. Here
you'll find a lot of gold, some health, and another box. Place the crystal
on the box, and the ledge to the ledge will be cleared. From this ledge,
jump onto the next two platforms, and the whole thing starts again.
When you replaced all four crystals this way, the Sun God will be hurt. In a
cut-scene, he tells that he's no real God, and that he needed the bones of
his victims to build Bone-Bots: robots built out of bones. Robots out of
metal are better, sure, but making robots with bones is more evil...muhahaha!
But, while laughing evilly, the God falls off his platform, into the lava.
Now he's gone, the temple starts to fall apart. The central column rises,
and some stairs come out of it.
>>> Section 19 <<<
You'll have to be quick. Get to the central column as fast as possible. Now
climb the winding stairs around it. The Level will end when you reach the
platform at the top. You should make it without too much trouble.
