The game is not all fighting - it does contain more than its fair share of
puzzles. Most of the puzzles require you to locate an object and then
activate it in the right place, so they aren't too challenging in a cerebral
sense. At times they became a little annoying as I'd have rather spent my time
slaying vampires than scouting around looking for the right spot to stick the
latest special object I had found.

Willow unleashes a spell. |
Chaos Bleeds doesn't end once you put down evil's latest grand plan.
The game features a multiplayer mode with four different types of games and lets
you choose from 24 different characters to play (once you unlock them all in
single player mode). Two of the games are typical of those found in
multiplayer action games, but the other two are something a little different.
Bunny catcher challenges players to chase after hordes of bunnies, with the
color of each bunny determining its worth in points. The player who can
capture the highest bunny point total wins. Slayer puts one player in the
role of a slayer while all others control monsters on the attack. The
multiplayer game can provide its share of amusement, but you'll get far more
enjoyment from the single player campaign.
Graphically Chaos Bleeds looks pretty good. The characters bear a good
resemblance to their real-life counterparts and the game's locations look
sufficiently spooky to be worthy of Buffy. Even though you are often
literally surrounded by gangs of shuffling zombies and somersaulting vampires,
there is no noticeable slowdown in the action and the characters' movements
remain smooth throughout.
Chaos Bleeds does a good job of capturing the look and spirit of the series.
If you're a fan of the show you'll more than likely really enjoy the game.
For others, Chaos Bleeds is a good action game that delivers some fun
supernatural battles, but falls a bit short in the puzzle department and may seem a tad repetitive at times. If the subject matter seems at all
interesting to you, give the game a look. It will probably pleasantly
surprise you the way it did me.
In The End, This Game Hath Been Rated:
81%. If you're a Buffy fan, rejoice and go forth and slay.
