There are a variety of cars in the game, and you'll have the chance to race
on motorcycles as well. The vehicle physics in the game is firmly rooted in the
fantasy world of arcade racing, but you can still feel a difference in the way
different vehicles handle and the extensive turning options do feel like they
actually make a difference. The vehicles all handle nicely and the controls are
responsive, which is a good thing in a game in which you'll be missing a lot of
turns.
The game supports Ad Hoc (local) multiplayer play, and it's nice that there
are a variety of modes available that go beyond simple, straight-up racing.
Modes such as capture the flag and tag can be fun to play, especially with the
various power-ups the game throws into the mix.
Overall, street racing fans will find some excitement here, but the racing
may prove to be too frustrating for more casual gamers. The short sight lines
and difficulties navigating the city street at high speeds make the races more
challenging than they need be.
In The End, This Game Hath Been Rated:
74%. Midnight Club: LA Remix is geared more
towards tuners than casual gamers.
