Hick State County is your whole world.

When on the road onscreen arrows will tell you which way you need to turn at each intersection.  There aren't any alternate routes to choose from, and heading in a direction other than the one indicated by the arrow will result in you running out of fuel before reaching your destination.  There's no time limit involved in delivering a load, so you can drive as fast or as slow as you'd like.

Driving a rig in BMT is pretty easy because of its arcade controls.  The trucks only have two gears and you don't even need to shift until the truck gets over 60 mph.  Your truck will handle the same way no matter if full or empty, and it is easy to keep under control even at very high speeds.  You'll pick up a little trailer sway when making turns or high-speed lane changes, but jackknifes are very rare and rolling a rig seems to be impossible.

With little challenge to the driving, the game tries to provide excitement through traffic accidents and chases with the police and motorcycle gangs.  Apparently crashing into cars and causing accidents is a good thing, because when you do so the game tells you that you've earned a bonus.  Some crash bonuses reward you with cash, others don't seem to do anything.  The game and manual never tell you anything about causing crashes so it's really a mystery.  If the police see you cause an accident, they'll begin to give chase.  You'll have a limited time to drive over the police cars or force them into enough wrecks to disable their cars before they arrest you.

If you hit a motorcycle, the motorcycle gang will declare war on you.  You must survive their chasing you for a set time limit.  If they catch your rig, they will climb on top of your trailer and try to unhitch and steal your load.  Running into other cars or fishtailing will throw the bikers off of your trailer.  It's not too hard to shake the gangs, so there's never any real tension that they'll steal your load.

Unfortunately, once you've eluded the cops and gangs a few times there's not much excitement to the time spent on the roads.  There's just not that much to do to keep your interest as driving loads back and forth and selling them is not all that much fun.  The cities don't provide much of interest either.  There are some great tunes on the truck's radio stations, but who plays games for the music?  Without much in the way of challenge or variety, you'll really have to work to stick it out through the full sixty day challenge - let alone want to play through the challenge a second time.

In The End, This Game Hath Been Rated: 60%.  A weekend rental for those looking for a big rig fix, but it has trouble keeping its momentum up over the long haul.
