Features/General Info 1.0
--------------------- ---
As you have probably noticed Gran Turismo 5: Prolouge contains some new
features from it predecessors, you will also notice it is nothing like the Gran
Turismo(4): Prolouge.
Differences from Gran Turismo(4): Prolougue
-Selectable Races. (No longer just a series of driving tests)
-Purchasable (Credit System like other GT Games) and Selectable Cars.
Differences from Gran Turismo 4 (and 1,2,3)
-New View. (Cockpit)
-No B-Spec.
-Gran Turismo TV. (More Below)
-Backgrounds.
-Online Play and Ranking.
-Download Top 10 Replays.
-New Cars. (Ferrari)
-New Tracks. (Real-Life Tracks)
-Mission Races. (More Below)
Once you load GT5P (it has a sort of longish install and if you have it online
it will update) you will need to buy your first car, you start with 35,000cr and
access to Class C races, you will need to finish all 10 Class C races with
Bronze or higher to access Class B and the same to access Class A, once all 3
Classes are finished you will gain 3 rewards: Tuning, Ending Movie, and Class S
go to the sections to see more.
Gran Turismo TV is a cool new feature, it lets you access the Opening and Ending
Movies as well as downloaded content, on the 7/4/2008 3 movies were
added/downloaded, they were Lancer: First Impressions, and GT-R The Inside Story
Parts 1 and 2 (of 3, coming soon), these are all presented in HD and look great.
Another interesting add-on is Mission Races, these take the form of a One-Lap
Race where you need to drive a specific car and take it from 16th to 1st (or
2nd/3rd). This can be quite challenging as you will need to utilise all your
driving skill to beat pole position. (My best is 2nd) Also you can only use the
car specified i stock format, no variations or tuning allowed, this applies to
Target Time races too.
