Unlike most strategy games that feature campaigns for each available faction,
Kane's Wrath has a single 13 mission campaign that features Kane's own Nod
forces. However, in addition to a skirmish mode Kane's Wrath provides 10
skirmish missions for each of the game's three factions and their two
sub-faction variants. That makes for 90 missions that cover all of the
multiplayer game types and let you play each available faction against the
others in turn. Not only is this mode challenging and exciting on its own,
it provides for some great training to prepare you for multiplayer play online.
If you've played Command & Conquer 3, then you'll find some new units in
Kane's Wrath. The sub-factions each get a unique unit, although it comes
at the expense of one of the other standard units. Every faction also gets
access to one of the game's three new super units, although the majority of
matches don't last long enough for these to be brought into play.
Overall, Kane's Wrath is a good port of the PC game and an enjoyable strategy
game in its own right. It can be challenging at times and the unit
management issues add to the challenge. if you're still unsure of whether
or not this game's for you, by all means give it a rental. You just may
find yourself hooked.
In The End, This Game Hath Been Rated:
84%. Kane's Wrath is still best played on the PC,
but Xbox 360 gamers looking for some classic real-time strategy action will find
it enjoyable.
