Not surprisingly given the game's pedigree, Bad Company is also a blast to play online.  The destructible environments really open up the gameplay and make for a very dynamic battlefield.  The maps are well designed and give you a range of terrain from village to village desert fighting to European urban combat.  There's only one game type available, but it's an enjoyable mode and more downloadable modes have been promised for the future.  The defending team has a series of crates of gold that they must protect from the attackers.  If the attackers capture each crate in turn before running out of respawn tickets then they win.  If not, the defenders do.  The fighting is naturally concentrated around the currently active crate, ensuring that the action intense and that the players don't scatter all over the good-sized maps.  Since this is a Battlefield game, there are plenty of vehicles and aircraft available for you to control and many enemy vehicles have multiple weapons stations for players to crew.  For example, a chopper pilot can target armor with the chopper's missiles while a gunner strafes nearby infantry.  The vehicles are not overpowered in the game and are vulnerable to fire, so you don't run into a situation where a single player in a tank is running roughshod over a village full of infantry.

Bad Company features player classes that fill the traditional roles such as soldier, sniper, and engineer.  In a different twist from the usual methods of changing your class in mid-battle, players drop their kits when killed and you can pick one of these up for an instant class change.  Switching classes, driving vehicles, manning guns, and more are encouraged in the game by an extensive array of medals.  Just trying to find and earn them all is a lot of fun and by providing all of these medals the game encourages diverse teams, and the result is a better experience for all.

Bad Company represents a new direction for the Battlefield series, and it makes its debut as a console exclusive with a building-blasting bang.  There is a lot of action-packed and enjoyable gameplay crammed into this game, and I can't wait to see what's in store for it in the future.

In The End, This Game Hath Been Rated: 90%. Is Bad Company more fun to play in its single player campaigns or in online multiplayer?  You'll have a great time trying to answer this question for yourself.
