Team Tour is more of a fantasy mode in which you draft a team of golfers and
then go up against other teams of PGA and fictional golfers. As you win games
you gain ability upgrades which make your team grow stronger over time. Not only
that, but you can steal a player from a vanquished team to replace your weakest
member. Not only is this new mode enjoyable, you can use it to beef up your own
golfer’s stats before taking him out on the PGA tour.
There’s a lot of content in the game to go with all of the modes. There are
50 golfers including a mix of pros (both men and women) and fictional golfers
and 21 total courses on which to play. You can also take the action online and
play in numerous modes against other gamers. There are even daily tournaments
for you to jump into and compete in. Overall the online play is smooth although
time-consuming.
If there’s a downside to the game it is its graphics. Even when removing the
Xbox 360 version for comparison the graphics look a bit pixilated and for some
reason things don’t look as sharp as some of the other sports games available on
the PS2.
There’s a lot of golf in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, and the numerous alternate
modes will keep the game interesting for some time to come. There’s not a better
golf game available on the PS2 and it comes recommended to anyone but the most
ardent of golf-haters.
In The End, This Game Hath Been Rated:
85%. Tiger comes through again.
