The sound in this game is minimalist, consisting mostly of music with a few
sounds of combat. There are incredibly drab sound effects that accompany most of
actions, from characters getting hit to the casting of spells. The only real
point of note about the sound is the music. It has a very epic feel to it and it
is quite nice to listen to. It really is a shame that it isn't a bit more
present. When in the dungeons it is barely noticed thanks to how low it plays
and how much attention you are trying to pay to navigating the menus.

Adding to all of this is the fact that this game is riddled with glitches and
bugs that hamper the game even more. When moving around the camera you will
sometimes encounter random lock-ups, these are always fun so save your game
fairly often mid-battle. At other times you will encounter glitches that can
cause your game to crash to the point of your PSP powering off, freezing and
every other fun problem you could ever hope for. After trying three copies of
this game it seems to be the game glitches and not the disks, which is seriously
unfortunate as this makes the game near unplayable when it's feeling finicky.
While this game may have some good points, namely character customization on
part with the pen and paper game and solid turn based gameplay, it staggers for
life almost everywhere else. You are far better off picking up Neverwinter
Nights and sitting down for a couple of days playing it than taking this game on
the road. Heck, pick up a few expansions and mods if you already have the game
but take a pass on this one. This is for hardcore turn-based fans only and true
Dungeons and Dragons fans may be disheartened at what has been done to their
game.
In The End, This Game Hath Been Rated:
50%. D&D: Tactics is a fairly solid game mired
with horrible graphics, game crashes due to glitches and bugs, and a storyline
devoid of life.
