Everybody needs a little help sometimes.
The biggest advantage that Dr. Sudoku has over its pencil and paper inspiration is that you can use the power of the GBA’s computer to get a little help. You can pick any of the nine digits and either get a hint or a blatant cheat. The hint marks the grid to show you where you definitely can not place the number in question. The cheat shows you exactly where in the grid that the number appears.

Dr. Sudoku comes packed with 1,000 puzzles, which brings the price per puzzle below that of overpriced sudoku puzzle books. In addition, the game will allow you to create your own puzzles and save them to the cartridge. You may not have a desire to be a puzzle creator, but this feature will allow you to enter puzzles that you find in a newspaper or book and add it to the game – or let the game help you solve a puzzle that has you stumped.

If you’re looking for extra bells and whistles, you won’t find them here; Dr. Sudoku’s presentation is pretty basic and straightforward. However, if you’re a sudoku fan or interested in getting in on the puzzle craze, it’s a nice way to take plenty of puzzles with you on the road. Throw the game in your bag or leave it in your DS’s GBA slot and you can enjoy a quick puzzle while trying to kill a little time on the go.

In The End, This Game Hath Been Rated: 75%. If you’re a sudoku fan or interested in what the fuss is all about, Dr. Sudoku gives you a lot of puzzles for your money.
