Plenty of other dangers await you as you make your way through the game.
These play out as button-matching mini games in which you will send Lara to some
pretty ghastly demises if you fail to press the right button quickly enough.
While the gameplay here is pretty basic, these sequences do toss in some variety
and give the game an Indiana Jones kind of vibe.
Also breaking up the gunplay and acrobatics are a few driving sequences.
Playing as Lara is not nearly as exciting when she is sitting on a motorcycle
for some basic arcade driving. You can’t help but get the feeling that they were
added more to pad out the game than to provide another dynamic to the gameplay.
This feeling is further reinforced when you make it to the end of the game since
you’ll find that even with the driving sequences you can complete the game in a
weekend.
The game does have a pretty cool bonus level of sorts in the Croft Mansion.
The mansion is filled with puzzles, secrets, and hidden collectibles to find and
you can enter it directly from the main menu without entering the game’s story
mode. You’ll have a lot of fun exploring the mansion and trying to uncover all
of its secrets, and it’s a great addition to the game.
Overall Tomb Raider: Legend is easy to recommend to adventure gaming fans. It
is a great mix of puzzle solving and acrobatic platform action that makes for
some great gaming fun. Finally, Tomb Raider has returned to the excitement that
made it a legend in the first place.
In The End, This Game Hath Been Rated:
87%. Welcome back Lara, we missed you.
