o------- Item Checklist -------o Save your game at the save point to start,
| | then head into the ruins. Now here's where
| Wild Fowl Meat........._____ | it gets extremely annoying. You can fall
| Capla Water............_____ | off the edge pretty much anywhere in this
| Galba Hand............._____ | area. There are even some enemies with big
| Eldian Orb............._____ | laser beams designed to knock you off.
| Bloody Nail............_____ | These enemies are stationary and can be
| Mirror Fragment........_____ | dealt with pretty well with a downward stab.
| Ericcil................_____ | When you come to a fork go right and down
| Rainbow Fragment......._____ | the stairs. Follow the path West and jump
| Red Tabulus............_____ | across to find a chest with 'Wild Fowl
| Emel Mallet............_____ | Meat' inside. Climb the North stairs and
| Gratios Talisman......._____ | head East but stop near the door. You'll
| Capla Water............_____ | notice those spikey railings don't extend
| Heavy Belt............._____ | as far on the bottom as they do on the top,
| | there's a little space you can drop though
o------------------------------o on the lower one. Drop through that little
crack and you'll land right beside a chest
containing 'Heavy Belt.' Make your way back up to the top and return to where
you dropped, head thorugh the door o nthe right. This is just a simple linear
path leading East into the next room. There you will find a fork right when
you start. Take the right branch and get ready for one of the most annoying
things in the universe. First of all destroy that stupid laser pod. Now you
have to learn to use the dash jump if you haven't already. To dash jump there
are numerous different explanations and like many I'm going to explain it the
way it works for me. First of all when doing the dash jump you cannot have
the direction button pressed in any direction, and the easiest way I find to
move the analog quickly and reset it is not the use the analog at all. A
quick tap on the D-pad works great. Now let me start by explaining the button
combo. Here's what you have to do. Tap the direction you want to jump on the
D-pad, then press square, then X. Now here's the thing, timing is extremely
important. You must put a delay between the D-pad and the square button, in
fact that just does the dash slash so you might want to practice that first.
Press the direction, wait a split second, and then press the attack button.
Now try doing the exact same thing, but instead of pressing square press
square and circle at the same time. Technically it shouldn't be at the same
time, do it so that you hit both buttons, but you hit the square button
slightly before the X button, but the delay between should be almost zero.
Once you've mastered the dash jump get ready to use it. You cannot reach that
platform on your right without it, dash jump to get over to it. Obviously
it's going to mean a lot of falling down but it's quick and easy to get back
here, just climb to the top and make a right. Now when you're on that second
platform you actually have to land on the pillar in the middle. Stand in the
exact centre of the platform you're on, not on the edge or you'll overshoot.
Use the dash jump and if you're lucky you'll land on the pillar. Dash jump
once more to reach the other side, and then normal jump to the next one. Do a
dash jump upward to land on the treasure box platform and open it to get the
'Capla Water.' Now head back to the entrance of this room, jump across and
follow the path down. The path curves East, and at the corner where it turns
South look on the right and you'll see four pillars, three of which are
broken. Use the dash jump and land in the centre of these pillars and drop
down. You should land on a platform with a chest containing 'Galba Hand.'
From here to a dash jump North to land on a small platform in the wall, then
go into the room. There is a super difficult boss you cannot defeat here,
however there is a chest on the opposite side of the room containing 'Eldian
Orb.' Keep trying over and over until you get it, dying just means you
restart in this very room. Now head to the top and follow the main path
toward the very end where you can jump North to a small platform, then you'll
see a treasure chest above you. It's a big gap but using the dash jump you
can reach it, when you open the chest you get the ability to equip another
accessory. Now head through the door above it.
Now get reacdy for another one of the hardest things in the universe. If you
check the right edge of this platform you can see a chest on the other side of
the staircase. Now to get to this you need to dash jump and land on a pillar
under the stairs which you can't even see, then dash jump from there over to
the chest. Personally it must just be coincidence but I find it easier to do
with the first sword, I don't seem to bounce back as much when I hit my head
on the stairs doing the jump. If you fall (and fall you shall) climb back up,
climb the stairs and drop down the little opening on the left at the top to
reach the platform where you can try the jump again. If you manage to make it
across to the chest you'll find the 'Bloody Nail' inside which restores HP
each time you kill an enemy, so it is worth the trouble. Anyway when you're
ready climb the central staircase and head North. Follow the path around to a
large room full of boiling magma. Jump across the platforms to the next room
and run like mad to the North end. There you will find a save point. When
you think you are prepared, continue North and pick up the 'Mirror Fragment.'
O=====================O------------------------------------------------------o
| Ud-Meiyu | |
O=====================O A difficult boss here but I managed to conquer it |
| HP: 800 | at level 25, also I forgot to actually equip healing |
O=====================O items so I just ended up fighting him over and over |
| until I could defeat him without healing so this |
| strategy should be extra effective if you're actually thinking ahead. You |
| will need both swords here, both of mine were powered to level five and |
| your should be similar. He has two main attacks, a jump attack where his |
| landing creates a large shockwave. During this attack I recommend running |
| away and waiting until you hear him hit the ground before jumping, it will |
| work well. On the second just run away from his spinning arms, don't be |
| afraid to drop in the lava for a couple of seconds if it means avoiding |
| the attack. As for fighting let loose both magic specials on each sword |
| and then switch to the fire sword or whichever deals more damage and pound |
| on him until the magic builds up again and repeat. Part of the ground |
| will be knocked away during the fight, but you can adapt. I had the Galba |
| Hand equipped as well for this fight, since dodging is preferable then |
| defense doesn't matter if you aren't being hit, and extra damage is good. |

Head North and enter the sanctum, when you reach the end stand in front of the
great angel statue and listen to the words. Continue North and examine the
platform on the right to receive the sword 'Ericcil.' Now head South until
you meet with a familiar face. Follow him up back into the previous room to
continue the scene. Return to the ruins and use the Wing of Alma to get back
to the entrance. Save your game and exit. Use your new sword to break the
seal on the door above you and go inside. There you will find two chests
containing 'Rainbow Fragment' and'Red Tabulus.' Return to Port Rimorge.
The first thing you'll want to do is go into the inn. Speak to the red haired
man and he'll read those tablets you've been picking up, speak to the blue
haired man and agree to trade him the Capla Water. For it you receive the
'Emel Mallet.' Now go and speak to Baslam and he'll reward you with the
'Gratios Talisman.' Now you can wander around town and speak to people, make
sure to stop and talk to the old man in the South shack, there's quite a
gathering going on there. Also make sure to upgrade your equipment before you
go. Once you're ready take the Northwest exit and head to the bridge.
