B2) Business Extorting and Rackets [TGW3B2]
===========================================
There are plenty of businesses and rackets out there for the taking. You'll
get your first taste of business extortion in the mission 'The Enforcer'.
After that, there are plenty of businesses out there for the taking.
Taking over a business will raise your weekly income. The more pressure you
put on the merchant, the more money you will recieve but be careful! Put too
much pressure on them and they will snap and you won't be able to take over
that business for a little while.
Extorting businesses does contribute to your 100% completion. To extort a
business, enter a business and talk to the merchant. Some will be willing to
see things your way but most will need convincing. To do this you must raise
their pressure meter into the green area. Once it's in the green area, talk
to them and the business will be yours.
To raise the pressure meter either beat them up, smash up their store or
attack their customers. Usually their will be mobsters from rival families
protecting the business so you should take care of them first.
Once you have the business, search the building for a a racket. Rackets are
illegal businesses taking place inside other businesses for example brothels,
gambling, liquor etc. Look for a back door or a cellar, that's where the
rackets are hidden.
When you find them, you can buy them out. All rackets can be bought out. Just
look for a guy with a pupeteer symbol above his head and talk to him. If you
don't have enough money, you're gonna have to pressure him, meaning your
gonna have to do exactly the same thing you did to the merchants. Rackets
also contribute to your 100% cmpletion and weekly income.
