GT – Are there different types of zombies in the game? Are there even
boss zombies?
DM – There are different types, I wouldn’t call the big zombies “bosses”
more than hulking masses of dead flesh. We didn’t want to do the whole boss
thing, everyone does it now. A lot of games, even the ones that have simple and
direct gameplay follow the same pattern; we didn’t want to do that. We just
wanted chaos, pure and simple chaos so that is what we went for. But you have
people from normal walks of life…business men and women, guys dressed as Santa
for the charities…construction workers…and average people just walking the
street. So you have a good mix…plus other cops.
GT – What are some of the weapons appearing in the game and how many
weapons will there be in total? Which one is your personal favorite?
DM – Well you have 5 main weapons that get upgraded for a total of 15.
The pistol starts off as a normal pistol then gets upgraded to a type of shotgun
pistol. The grenade launcher turns into a nuke launcher at the end which just
devastates everything…that is my personal weapon of choice so when I am online
and if anyone wants an ass-beating, look for Craig from Slipknot as Officer
Doodie Stevens…and prepare to get your ass handed well, back to you.
GT – What was it like working with Slipknot and how did they feel
about becoming characters in a video game?
DM – We approached Clown after a show at the Meadowlands Arena in
Jersey…I had a PSP from Japan and a video of the game in action. Basically I
told him what I wanted to do, explained the reason why I thought they would be a
good fit and on top of that GUSHED because I am a HUGE Slipknot fan. He was
really into it…the whole band is. They are great guys as are the guys in
Chimaira, Fear Factory Junkie XL and Ill Nino…all those bands were super
supportive. They are all gamers too so it worked out great.
GT – How many different multiplayer modes will there be? Will any of
the modes be co-op?
DM – As far as modes you have your standard Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch,
Savior which is exactly like Robotron (and that is a good thing) and then Mad
Cow which is my personal favorite…I won’t even go into detail on them…I’d rather
you played them for yourself and got back to me on which one you like the most.
