Note that for the Dragon Arena unlocks, it doesn’t really matter who 
you use, only your level and your opponent.

*Playable Characters*
Goku --- Already unlocked
Kid Goku --- Second time through Goku’s DU, go to Grandpa Gohan’s House 
after fighting Raditz and before fighting Nappa.
Kid Gohan --- Already unlocked.
Teen Gohan --- Beat Kid Gohan’s DU.
Gohan --- Beat Teen Gohan’s DU.
Gt. Saiyaman --- Beat Gohan’s DU.
Goten --- Defeat him in Gohan’s DU.
Vegeta --- Defeat him in Goku’s DU.
Trunks --- Beat Vegeta’s DU.
Kid Trunks --- Beat Majin Buu in Vegeta’s DU.
Krillin --- Already unlocked
Piccolo --- Already unlocked
Tien --- Already unlocked
Yamcha --- Already unlocked
Hercule --- In Piccolo’s DU, during the Buu saga find a “Desert” area 
around Baba’s Palace to find Hercule, who will give you a capsule.  
Then go to Central City, where Videl will give you Hercule’s capsule.
Videl --- During Gohan’s DU, search the lower right chain of islands 
for a “plains” area.
Supreme Kai --- See his Potara (Kibitoshin) in the ability capsule 
section.
Uub --- In Goku’s DU, use a Super Spirit Bomb against Kid Buu.  The 
story will continue and you will fight Uub at the World Martial Arts 
Tournament.
Raditz --- Already unlocked
Nappa --- Already unlocked
Captain Ginyu --- Defeat him in Goku’s DU.
Recoome --- Defeat him in Goku’s DU.
Frieza --- Defeat him in Goku’s DU.
Android #16 --- In Krillin’s DU a second time, after fighting Frieza 
the first time two markers will appear.  Go to the right one to talk to 
the Ginyu frog.  Then continue the story and you will get to the 
Android saga.  Search the islands east of the World Marial Arts 
Tournament and you will find a broken 16.  Take him to West City and 
you will unlock him.
Android #17 --- Defeat him in Piccolo’s DU.
Android #18 --- Beat Krillin’s DU.
Dr. Gero --- Defeat him in Yamcha’s DU.
Cell --- Beat Teen Gohan’s DU.
Majin Buu --- Defeat him in Goku’s DU.
Super Buu --- Defeat him in Goku’s DU.
Kid Buu --- Defeat him in Goku’s DU.
Dabura --- Defeat him in Gohan’s DU.
Cooler --- In Goku’s DU a second time, after you have also completed 
Vegetas DU mode once, after fighting Frieza the first time there will 
be three markers.  Go to the one that is below where you fought Frieza 
to fight Vegeta.  Then go to the only remaining marker and defeat 
Cooler to unlock him.
Bardock --- In Goku’s DU a second time, search Raditz’s space ship 
during the Saiyan Saga.
Broly --- See Goku’s Fusion(Gogeta) ability capsule.
Omega Shenron --- See Goku’s Fusion(SSJ4 Gogeta) ability capsule.
Saibamen --- Defeat Nappa when he breaks into Dragon Arena.  Use 
someone level 10-20 and fight people twice your level.  I got it with a 
level 18 character fighting a level 38 character.
Cell Jr. --- Defeat Piccolo when he breaks into Dragon Arena.  Use 
someone level 20-40 and fight people as high a level as you can.  I got 
it with a level 39 character fighting a level 69 character.

*Training levels.  You start with 1 and get each level after completing 
the one before it.*

*Membership cards.  These determine the quality of the items you can 
find in the Skill Shop*
Green Membership Card --- You start with this card
Silver Membership Card --- Find this card in DU mode, have a Budokai 2 
save, or spend 1,500 zenie.
Gold Membership Card --- Find this card in DU mode with a character 
having a level higher than 15 or spend 100,000 zenie.
Black Membership Card --- Find this card in DU mode with a character 
having a level higher than 30 or spend 250,000 zenie.

World Tournament Novice --- You start with this unlocked
World Tournament Adept --- Beat World Tournament Novice and then buy 
it.
World Tournament Advanced --- Beat World Tournament Adept and then buy 
it.
World Tournament Cell Games --- Defeat Cell when he breaks in to the 
Dragon Arena.  I fought level 52 Trunks, and used someone at level 40.
Dragon Arena Ticket --- Unlocks the Dragon Arena, get it by beating all 
11 DUs.

*Stages*
World Tournament Stage --- You start with this stage.
Hyperbolic Time Chamber --- You start with this stage.
Archipelago --- You start with this stage.
Urban Area --- In Teen Gohan’s DU, visit Central City.
Mountains --- You start with this stage.
Plains --- You start with this stage.
Grandpa Gohans House --- In Kid Gohan’s DU a second time, instead of 
fighting Piccolo, go to the forest north of Goku’s house to talk to 
Goku, then fight him at Grandpa Gohan’s House.
Planet Namek --- Beat Recoome in DU (can be done with a number of 
characters).
Cell Ring --- Defeat Perfect Cell in Goku’s DU.
Supreme Kai’s World --- Defeat Kid Buu in Goku’s DU.
Inside Buu --- Defeat Super Buu inside of himself in Goku’s and 
Vegeta’s DU (you will get it after you beat him with the second 
character).
Red Ribbon Base --- Unlock Dragon Arena (Beat all 11 DUs).

*Just a note, for the difficulty capsules I found the easiest way to 
unlock them was with Uub equipped with a Senzu Bean.  Also you could 
use Yamcha, they both only have three fights.  Yamcha only has to “win” 
his fight against Dr. Gero because you can just let the Saibaman blow 
himself up (when you are out of range) and knock Tien out of bounds.  
Similarly for Uub you can knock Goku out of bounds and just need to 
“win” two fights.  Of course, for some reason I found Majin Buu and 
SSJ4 Goku (the two fights you have to win with Uub) easier than Dr. 
Gero.*
Goku’s Wish --- Unlocks Z difficulty.  Get it for beating someone’s DU 
at very hard difficulty.
The Path to Power --- Unlocks Z2 difficulty.  Get it for beating 
someone’s DU at Z difficulty.
Endless Path to Power --- Unlocks Z3 difficulty.  Get it for beating 
someone’s DU at Z2 difficulty.
Strongest of Universe Trophy --- Get it for beating someone’s DU at Z3 
difficulty.

*To unlock Memories, beat DU with that particular character and wish 
for it.  To get the Memories of people who do not have DU, after you 
have the Memories of the 11 people who do and bought everyones 
breakthrough, you can buy the Memories for 100,000 each.*
