While not a particularly difficult boss on its own, it always helps to
come prepared. In this case the boss has a tendency to be a bit
"elemental" meaning it has a clear weakness, and a clear attack type.
Taking advantage of these is easy. It's worth the skill slot just for
this battle to equip the Flame Coat, it will severely reduce the damage
you take from his attacks. Secondly he has is ridiculously weak to
Thunder attacks, to using Thunder Sword on your weapon will increase you
damage from double to triple to quadruple the more thunder based attacks
you use. I casted Thunder Sword on the entire party and started a combo
that chained 15 thunder attacks in a row, and MOMO's normal attack without
a critical hit did 1500 damage, increasing each turn. When the boss gets
low on life, like most it breaks out the powerful attacks and the boosts
so make sure you don't wait until it's on death's door to let loose.

=== (GS No. 26 continued) Blast all the crates and talk to the kid. Now go to
your menu and leave the Encephalon. Return to the Launch Area and talk to
Pitt. For returning the kid, he rewards you with the 'Secret Key 10.'
=== The thirty-fifth GS quest is now avaiable. Head to the "Our Treasure" Inn
in the Urban Area of the Kukai Foundation. Climb the stairs to the second
floor then up the ladder to the third. Head out the South door to reach the
roof and speak to the person there named Camille with a male character as your
leader. This is like the easiest thing in the universe. Just run along this
little area and examine those dirty looking broken patches in the roof, keep
tapping circle to swing the frying pan and hit all ten of those areas within
one minute. You won't need the whole minute. Once you finish it
automatically ends. For your efforts you're rewarded with the 'Decoder 13.'
All right, well if you're ready for the final dungeon it's time to board the
Elsa and speak to Captain Matthews. Note that after you beat the game, you
can still go aorund and do things, so in essence there is no "point of no
return" in this game. In fact numerous things remain inaccessible until after
you beat the game, so you might as well go do it. Off we go.
In your E.S. machine, head South to the elevator and ride it down. When you
stop the first time it asks where you would like to go, select stop and fight
your way past the enemy on the right. Get off your machine and examine the
door to find Segment Address No. 17. Decode it and get the 'Secret Key 28.'
Board the E.S. and ride the elevator down to the next level. Beat up the
enemy and grab the 'Nano Sphere' from the crate on the left. Now ride the
elevator down once more. Go right and destroy the crate to get the 'Nano
Repair Z.' Save your game at the save point on the other side then ride down
one final time. Run toward the West wall and get off your E.S. machines.
Through the door is a room full of odd looking crates. Break the one at the
top and pick up the 'Med Kit M.' Also smash the spheres at the upper left to
reveal a path. Follwo this path up the stairs and into the East door at the
top, then press the button. Head back to the left and go into the door
leading North at the top of the stairs. When you reach the North wall turn
right and defeat the enemy to reach the chest containing 'Secret Key 24.' Now
run all the way West and press the button on the terminal. Now return to your
E.S. machine and go through the large door to the North. Smash through all
the objects in your way in the next room and go through the door on the left.
Continue to follow the path around until you reach an area where you have no
choice but to get off your E.S. Take the elevator down to the lower level.
Start descending all the stairs in this area. Run all the way down to the
bottom and save your game. Take the elevator down and press the power switch
at the bottom. Backtrack all the way to the top again and hit the switch.
The elevator starts coming down, but there are two points on the way down at
which it can get blocked. What you need to do is run ahead of the eleavtor
and press the red buttons you find on the way down to open the gates, but you
must time it correctly because the gates close again. Don't do it too early
or else it will close before the elevator reaches it, also don't wait until
the last second or you won't have enough time to get to the next one.
Somehwere around the middle works fine. Once it's past both of them run down
to the bottom, save your game, and get into your machines then walk North.

This is a pretty relaxed battle, just make sure you bring your healing
E.S. with you, or at least be ready to switch it in. This boss has a
weakness to fire, so what I do is cast Fire Sword on my main attacking
E.S. and just have it use a square button attack every turn for about
2000 consistant damage. Not exactly that great, but if you cast Quick on
it and dedicate your other mech to healing, as long as the character
piloting it has learned that skill that recharges your EP each time you
stock it should be able to keep you going at a good pace the entire battle
without ever really risking death. Wings of Light works quite well too.

o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o
You can go back and save if you want, but there's still another save point in
between here and the next boss, so just use a Nano Sphere or something. Head
through the North door. Looks like a beast at first, but you'll get the hang
of it. In fact it painfully simple. All you have to do is destroy all the
blocks, a step by step guide on how to do it would be next to useless as it
would contain dozens of steps that are all obvious anyway. You can shoot over
the walls just fine, they're only there to block your movement so while it
goes slowly, it's not possible to find yourself in a position where you're
stuck. Open up the path the the lower left and get the 'Charge Boost,' get
the 'G Ether PD Guard' on the right side, and finally the 'Nano Sphere' at the
upper left. Exit through the door at the upper left corner.
Save your game on the right. Get off your E.S. on one of the docks on the
right, and run down the walkway to the Southeast. Destroy the green thing to
get four 'Skill Upgrade B.' Break the purple door and go inside to find a
'Med Kit DX.' Open the yellow door beside it and break the crate at the upper
left corner to receive 'Boost Max.' Now you have two options here, you can
either take the West door and fight with your E.S. all the way to the final
save point, or you can do this little puzzle and take a different path with
your characters. Normally I would jump at the chance the skip a puzzle and do
some more giant mech battles, considering how long random character battles
take, but in this case it means missing out on items (the E.S. path is dry) so
I guess we'll proceed with the puzzle. Approach the giant wall of blocks, now
you can cycle between any column with the L1 and R1 buttons. This isn't
exactly easy to figure out so listen close. Destroy one of the three blue
blocks on the furthest left column. Now on the sixth column from the left
destroy any of the red blocks. Destroy the blue block on the bottom in the
third column, destroy either red block in column three, destroy any of the
yellow blocks in column two, destroy the only yellow block in column one,
destroy the blue block in column two, destroy either of the blue blocks in
column six, destroy the third block on column 8 which is the red one, destroy
any of those four yellow blocks in column seven, destroy one of the top three
yellow block in the far right column, then finally the one remaining red block
on column nine. Now you can dock your machine and run over to the left door.
Through the door after the corner you'll come to a fork. Head South and open
the chest to find the 'Secret Key 27.' Continue East and press the red button
near the door to unlock it. If you're looking for items then listen
carefully, if you're looking for enemies then completely ignore me. Destroy
the second glowing pillar on your left for 'Ether Pack DX.' Also destroy the
first one along the upper wall after you go around the curve (not in the
middle of the curve) for an 'Ether Pack M.' Head through the door and shoot
the second on on the right for a 'Skill Upgrade C.' Continue through the door
and when you come to an enormous object you can target, do so to reveal a save
point. Make absolutely sure you save, then ride the platform for a scene.

Settle yourself in for a long battle, there are quite a few things to
keep in mind during this fight. First of all the boss has three forms,
White Robe (break point CCCC), Call to Arms (break point BCCB) and
Cry of the Rapture (break point BBC). They are the basic, physical and
Ether forms respectively. The boss will always tell you which of the
forms it is changing to when it does. Now here's the other thing, the
game basically forces you to switch between party members for this fight,
the first of two reasons being that the boss is actually gender
discriminant. You must fight the Call to Arms form with a male party
otherwise it will Counter Boost, the opposite applies with Cry of the
Rapture which must be fought with a female party. Damage shouldn't be
too much of an issue, the specific gender parties work well for dealing
damage against their respective bosses. What helps in this fight is good
immunities against status effects, especially stun, and some elemental
resistances against Thunder and Fire. Now the other reason the game
forces you to switch characters is the Mirror of Truth attack which will
choose a party member and automatically kill them in a few turns. You
can render this attack 100% ineffective though just by switching that
person out of battle. Stock up and combo, rinse and repeat.

o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o
You're definitely going to want to return and save your game, unless you're
some kind of crazy person who LIKES multiple boss fights in a row with the
chance of having to repeat them. Return across again and examine the panel.

In the most technical sense, this is the true boss of the game, the last
boss that poses a serious threat to you (besides the super powerful
optional bosses of course) so give it everything you have. If you're
curious what skills I have on my characters, I have the one that increases
slots to four, Aura Coat, Damage-10, Swimsuit and Last Revenge. That
gives me Aura defense, extra agility, 10% less damage and any characters
who die automatically come back to life once with 1 HP, boosted with three
stock. My party was also level 37 and consisted of Jr, MOMO and KOS-MOS.
Now on to the boss. His first form is really nothing to write home about,
is is very weak to pretty much all attacks (or at least to the attacks of
the characters I was using.) Charge up and stock some huge ass combos,
his attacks will hit single party members and inflict some basic negative
status ailments. He has one group attack that will be reduced if you
equipped the Aura Shield skill. In fact there's no reason to even give a
strategy for this form, because you'll need to be able to conquer it
easily in order to beat his next form. There are a couple things I
suggest however. The first is stealing the Awakening IV of course, the
second is stocking up full with all your characters and then casting Quick
on all of them. With all that kill the boss without combos or boost so
that all of it remains in effect and leaves you in the best possible
position for the start of the next fight. At the beginning of the next
battle it seems almost identical to the last one, most of his attacks
remain the same except for his new ability to cast Quick on himself. In
fact most of this battle is indeed the same as the first one, it's just
that like many other bosses, if you let him linger lower than 10,000 HP
he is going to absolutely destroy you. Completely. Once he hits that
mark he will boost like crazy, attack constantly without stopping. That's
not the dangerous part either. He'll use the power of Proto Omega too.
Proto Omega has two different attacks, I can't even tell the difference,
both of them nailed my party for 1500 damage each time. In fact is it
wasn;t for the Last Revenge skill I would probably be out levelling up
right now rather than writing this, but in fact it allowed me to Counter
Boost and knock the guy's block off. In fact I ended up using a
Rejuvenator E which I had been hoping to save for the optional bosses just
so I could kill him on a skill boost slot, and when I did it said
"Skill Points x10" so it was the best risk I ever took. Good luck.

o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o
After the fight and after the scene you'll have control of Jr. Explore the
area if you wish, you'll notice you can't board the Elsa, you can't go to the
Kukai Foundation, you can't really do anything. In situations like this it's
always nice to take a relaxing walk in the park, so head there now. Watch the
scene when you arrive. Eventually you'll find yourself in...
