Crash and Neo Cortex working together? One of the signs of the apocalypse? The one right after dogs and cats living together? Nope, it would seem that this unlikely pairing is the result of an evil invasion that is threatening the island paradise that is home to this new odd couple. Crash and Neo are forced to team up in order to save their and the world … although neither of them is too happy about the idea.

A home worth fighting for.

In Crash Twinsanity you’ll not lonely control Crash and even Neo Cortex and his niece Nina, but Crash and Cortex together at the same time. Since Crash doesn’t particularly like Neo, he’ll take every opportunity to exact a little revenge and put Neo through a little hurt all in the name of saving the island. For example, when faced with a slippery snow covered slope, what better way to make your way down quickly than to use Neo as an impromptu snowboard? Much to Crash’s chagrin though, he’ll sometimes need to protect Neo from his own ineptitude. One sequence has Neo surrounded by a swarm of killer bees. Neo’s reaction? Why to go running off through an area of platforms and broken bridges of course! Crash will need to ensure that Neo makes his way to the end of the mountain pass safely by moving platforms and fending off enemies. If all of this seems to be a twisted situation, then you can blame the game’s write for that. Crash Twinsanity’s storyline was developed by Jordan Reichek, who came up with some pretty twisted stuff when he was working on Ren & Stimpy.

Crash Twinsanity will be different than previous Crash games in more ways than the teaming up of Crash and Neo. The first is that enemies have been given complex AI that goes beyond that found in a standard platform game. Rather than simply running right at you or tossing projectiles your way, enemies in the game will take a more proactive and reactive approach to attacking Crash. They will actually seek out and hunt Crash rather than standing in one place waiting for Crash to come to them. Also, they know both when to attack and when to run away. If things are going badly for them they are not above turning tail to live and fight another day.
