The gameplay itself is entertaining and relaxing, but hardly challenging.
Nothing in the game requires much in the way of solving challenging puzzles in
order to progress though the game. Quests and challenges take at most a couple
of tries to complete, and you quickly get the feel that if you just keep running
around shooting Riptocs and picking up gems, you will find all the new levels
and free all the dragonflies.
Defeating the baddies is almost a non-issue. They generally take only a
single hit from your fire or electric breath, they move slowly, and you can
easily avoid taking any damage throughout most of the game.
Despite the ease of play, there is something quite likeable about this game.
The game is very visually appealing, and it is not all that bad a thing if a
game sometimes just makes you feel that you are a really good player. If you are
looking to play a game that you can pick up easily and finish in just a few
playing sessions, you have definitely found your game. Just be prepared to brush
off the very “Poki-man-esque” capturing of oddly named dragonflies which is
surely in place to be a draw to much younger players.
In The End, This Game Hath Been Rated:
68%. Not a bad idea to buy it for a kid you know and then borrow it
for a while.
