This is a list of all the messages you get whenever the game loads a new area.
I know, it's kind of useless, but it also provides some more backstory on the
events of the game, and that's always a good thing.

The Mandalorian War came to an end four years ago, and should've brought an age
of peace.  It didn't.

Once a galactic hub, new trade routes have rendered Taris nearly obsolete.  It
is decaying rapidly.

When paused, X actions stack to occur in order.  A actions are immediate.

Once your character attacks, combat is automatic until you manually change
tactics.

You can turn off subtitles in the Options menu.  This makes for a more
cinematic game experience.

For an attack to succeed, a character's "To Hit" roll must exceed the target's
defense.

The sprawling capital of Taris covers most of the planet.  It was built over a
century of prosperity.

The Sith War began 2-1/2 years ago when the heroes of the Mandalorian War
seized control of the Republic fleet.

Attacks consist of a random roll of 1 to 20 (+ bonuses) compared against a
target's defense rating.

When selecting Feats and Powers, read the descriptions carefully so you can
choose the ones you want.

As Jedi, Raven and Malak led Republic forces to victory in the Mandalorian War.

The final battles of the war took place out on the Galactic Rim.  Reven and
Malak came back changed.

Defense is how hard a character is to hit. Level, items, Feats, and effects
improve Defense.

Reven and Malak returned from the Mandalorian War as Sith, using their fleet to
conquer.

No one knows how Revan and Malak assembled a force powerful enough to challenge
the Republic.

Of the two traitorous Sith, Revan was the stronger.  Malak grudgingly assumed
the role of apprentice.

More than 2 years into the Sith war, the Jedi set a trap for Revan and Malak.
Only Malak escaped.

To fight Darth Revan, the Jedi used Bastila's Battle Meditiation to board the
Sith flagship.

When the Jedi ambushed Revan, Malak attacked his master's ship and usurped the
mantle of Dark Lord.

Revan's flagship was destroyed when Malak turned against his ally.  The
apprentice became the master.

Malak now controls the Sith fleet.  He is hunteng Bastila tirelessly, fearing
her Battle Meditiation.

Sith forces under Malak seem to have endless resources.  How he raised such a
fleet remains a mystery.

Czerka Corporation is one of several galaxy-spanning companies.  It has
outposts on many worlds.

Companies like Czerka Corporation police themselves.  They are too large for
authorities to monitor.

A creatures defense rating determiins how difficult it is to hit.

Millennia ago, a rift in the Jedi Order saw the followers of the dark side
exhiled from Republic space.

Outcast Jedi settled on the Sith homeworld, and over millennia the two peoples
became one.

1000 years ago the long forgotten Sith returned to the Republic and the Great
Hyperspace War began.

Vitality points (VP) denote character health.  They increase evey level,
modified by Constitution.

The Jedi Rallied to defeat the Sith in the Great Hyperspace War, but the
victory came at great cost.

A character at 0 VP is unconscious.  If the entire player party is at 0 VP the
game is over.

The game Autosaves when you enter an area transition, unless it has Autosaved
in the last 15 minutes.

Itms like Security Spikes add a bonus to your Security skill. Use these to help
open difficult locks.

Automapping records progress in each area.  Press "Start" and cycle left or
right to view the map.

True Sith died out centuries ago.  Sith of this era are not a species, but
followers of an ideal.

The Journal logs quest information for you.  Press "Start" and cycle left or
right to view the journal.

The Republic has been in existence since the discovery of hyperspace travel
nearly 20,000 years ago.

It is believed that hyperspace travel was brought to this galaxy by an advanced
race now extinct.

Travel in the galaxy is confined to hyperspace routes.  Scouting new routes is
incredibly dangerous.

Because of the danager in scouting new hypserspace routes, large sections of
the galaxy are unexplored.

The Republic consists of thousands of systems across the galaxy, though not all
are fully documented.

The Republic is a loose affilitation of worlds that have accepted common trade
laws and currency.

The Jedi of this era are very active in the day-to-day affairs of planetary
government and security.

Your character is granted Experience Points (XP) for defeating enemies and
advancing plots.

The Jedi are trusted on many worlds, and are often called upon to adjuciate in
disagreements.

Some poeple distrust the Jedi almost as much as they do the Sith.  They don't
understand either group.

Crystals placed in the hilt of a lightsaber affect its power, abilities and
color.

Even if they don't speak it, most aliens understand galactic Basic.  It's the
Republic trade language.

Swoop racing is very popular, despite the roots it has in the underworld
culture of many planets.

The Republic now faces Sith forces of startling numbers.  The resources of the
enemy seem limitless.

When a character has enough XP to Level Up, the option will appear on their
Character page.

Auto Level Up applies standard class choices.  Manual Level Up allows you to
customize.

Blue icons represent Force powers you use on yourself or your party.  These are
not targeted.

Saving Throws are a character's ability to avoid some attacks because of base
attributes.

When traveling between worlds, it's worth taking the time to talk to your party
members.  You might be surprised at what you'll find out.

A creature must make a 'Saving Throw' to avoid the harmful effects of Force
Powers and grenades.

Dexterity modifies Reflex saves. Constitution modifies Fortitde saves.  Wisdom
modifies Will saves.

Conversation choices can move you toward the light or dark side.  Choose your
words carefully.

Save the game in any location by pressing 'Start' and cycling left or right to
the Options page.

The "Return To" button (Map papge) returns you to the initial safe area of the
current planet.

Adjust default party behavior to fit your play style.  Select A.I. "Scripts"
off the character page.

Ask party members about planets and plots.  They may have valuable insights to
offer.

Ask party members about themselves.  Their personal stores may lead to extra
plots.

Grenades are excellent against multiple opponents.  Target the center of a
group for maximum effect.

Characters in Stealth Mode can only be detected by an Awareness roll vs. their
Stealth skill.

Use "Solo" mode (BACK button) to scout with a single character.  Black switches
characters.

A high Computer Use skill lowers the number of spikes required for difficult
slicing tasks.

The Computer Use skill allows you to slice through enemy computer defenses
using computer spikes.

The Repair skill lets a character use Parts to fix damaged droids they might
find.

Use a workbench to upgrade melee or ranged weapons, armor, and lightsabers.

Medpacks heal and stimpacks boost abilities.  They always target the character
you currently control.

With Xbox Live you can download new content for the game, like additional
weapons and armor!
