"Here’s the scoop on passing - pick your routes. Until you get the hang of
it, pick slant and hook patterns. Pick the receiver before the play. When the
receiver makes his cut for the slant or hook, he will usually have inside
position on the DB. Pass it as soon as he makes his move or another DB will have
time to close in. Once you master these patterns, move to the hitch. Wait
patiently for the receiver to hitch (pump fake if you can at this point), then
when he makes his move up field hit him on the fly. Fly patterns are the hardest
to pull off and the lowest percentage passes. When you want to start practicing
hitting these patterns, start by trying to hit your TE on these routes. You can
hit him sooner for higher percentage short gains before working your way to
bombs to the wide-outs." - TEM
"All pro sure pressure: Pick any 2-man (suggested for coverage reasons) or more blitz play on
defense in any 4-3 formation (four lineman, three linebackers) or pick any 3-man
blitz play in 3-4 formation. Next, shift your lineman to the side that the
blitzers are blitzing to for an overload for sure pressure (blitzers must both
be on the same side)." - BiGG P
"lineman move (rookie-all madden): to get by offensive lineman 88% of the
time press the R button to swim or rip by the lineman. To make it more efficient
rip as soon as you make contact before they can lock-on or else it would be very
difficult. Also I usually press the control-stick or pad in the direction of the
lineman (if you hit him slightly to the left move the control stick down ( \/
)and diagonally to the right. Success may vary depending on your attribute &
your D-lineman." - BiGG P
"Start in a spread formation, then audible to a pass from a split back
set. this will put your wide receiver 3 in the fullback spot where he'll have a
coverage mismatch.." - Mike Kidd
