The Enhanced Edition update for the PC version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is now available for pre-download before the update is enabled on April 17th.
|From CD Projekt RED:|
Most of the 10 GB update will be available for download at thewitcher.com. On the 17th of April players will be able to download the missing files and run the game in its most plentiful edition up to date.
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition is the richest version of the game up to date with two additional major quests, a new intro and outro, many never seen before cut-scenes and many more improvements. The patch contains also all the pervious DLCs and upgrades - including the arcade arena mode and an extensive tutorial system. All this makes The Enhanced Edition the most robust version of the game. CD Projekt RED doesn't want to keep their fans waiting, so they allow players to download a huge chunk of the new content files earlier, so that they can start playing just when t game launches on the 17th of April.
"The Enhanced Edition gives players around 4 hours of new adventures, 35 minutes of new cut-scenes and cinematics and much more. Many fans just can't wait to get their hands on the new content we have prepared. To allow PC users to start playing as soon as possible we started a pre-download program. If you encounter any problems, please write about them on thewitcher.com Our team reads your comments and solves them as soon as possible." - says Przemyslaw Wojcik, Head of Quality Assurence from CD Projekt RED.
These are not all treats that CD Projekt RED has prepared for PC users for the 17th of April.
Everyone who has bought the game earlier and all those who will buy it in the future, will receive a free back-up copy on the DRM-free digital distribution platform GOG.com. All players have to do is head to gog.com/witcherbackup and follow the on-screen instructions to get your back-up.
