Gaming News - December 2006
Redwood City, CA (December 8, 2006) - EA today announced that patch
1.06 is now available for Battlefield 2142.
From EA:
Since its launch on October 18th, more than one million rounds of Battlefield
2142™ have been played online. That’s more than 8.9 billion bullets fired, and
more than 1,500 years worth of heart-stopping multiplayer action – and that’s
just in the first few weeks!
But the team at DICE is still hard at work on the game.
Since the game’s launch, the dedicated DICE Live team has made dozens of
behind-the-scenes updates helping to refine the online experience in areas
relating to Punkbuster, Master Server disconnects and rank-up issues – and is
constantly working on improving the experience.
The latest patch (1.06) is now available and includes:
- Better restriction of Titan movement after its shields are down,
improvements to lag and player reviving issues onboard the ship
- Improved Titan missile silos numbering
- Titan Survival Pin recording
- Additional Master Server stability
To download the patch, gamers can visit
battlefield.ea.com. The site will also host a series of updates directly
from the team at DICE in Stockholm, offering a sneak peak behind the scenes of
the DICE Live team.
