Calabasas, CA (December 21, 2004) - THQ and Relic Entertainment
announced today the release of patch 1.2 for Dawn of War as well as a new
mapping contest.

This patch was created to address some of the minor issues concerning the
game as well as add in a few new goodies. Here are the details:
All New Maps Added
-Railway- 1v1 multiplayer map
-Crossroads- 3v3 multiplayer map.
Gameplay
-Seer Council Conceal Ability- Fixed Conceal ability so that it now only applies
to individual members of the Seer Council.
-Chaos Taint Ability- Now only heals in the 2nd tier but now applies to Chaos
Commander units as well as infantry.
Online
-Online Stats- Removed the 2-minute drop window, where a player could abort a
game within 2 minutes of starting and not receive a loss.
-Lobby Spamming- Fixed issues with lobby system to reduce/control spamming.
Savegame
-Fixed multiple issues with savegame code.
Mapping Contest
Also announced was a new mapping contest which will allow fans of the game to
submit their own creations to be judged by Relic developers. Here are the
details:
Think you have what it takes to create an uber-map for Dawn of War? Want to have
your map judged by Relic developers, and released to the community so thousands
of players can enjoy your work? Post some screenshots and a download link to
your map in the 'DoW Mapping Contest' thread at the official forums (<http://forums.relicnews.com>),
and the team behind Dawn of War will run it through the gauntlet. The best 3
maps will be released to the community in a special Map Pack, and the winners
will receive signed
Dawn of War posters. Please remember to include (in your post) a short
description of your map, the number of intended players, and any other
information you think might help us when judging it.
