Dallas, TX (December 14, 2004) - NVIDIA Corporation today announced
its plans for the Cyberathlete Extreme Winter Championships.

NVIDIA, along with add-in card vendors BFG Technologies and eVGA.com, will be
showcasing its bleeding-edge graphics technology along with hot new games to an
estimated audience of more than 2,000 PC gamers at the event, which will take
place at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Dallas, Texas, from December 15-20.
The official graphics technology provider of the Cyberathlete Professional
League and lead sponsor of the $20,000 Painkiller and $30,000 DOOM 3 deathmatch
tournaments, NVIDIA will showcase its award-winning GeForce™ 6 Series of
graphics processing units and NVIDIA SLI technology in an exhibit that features
a 20-station LAN gaming area and demonstration area featuring hot new and
pre-release PC games including Empire Earth 2, Everquest II, FlatOut, Joint
Operations: Escalation, The Lord of the Rings™ – The Battle for Middle-earth™,
Painkiller, Prince of Persia 2, Star Wars Battlefront, The Chronicles of Riddick:
Escape from Butcher Bay - The Developer's Cut, Will of Steel and World of
Warcraft. From its booth, the Company will also host daily competitions and
giveaways where several gamers will have an opportunity to take home an
award-winning GeForce 6 Series-based graphics card.
NVIDIA’s recently announced GeForce 6800 Go mobile graphics processors will be
discussed in a workshop session presented by Intel and website Legit Reviews
titled “Game More. Carry Less.” The workshop, which will take place on Dec. 18
at 8:30 PM CST, will take an in-depth look at the latest technology innovations
in notebook PCs and will teach gamers what to look for when buying a notebook PC
for gaming.
On Saturday, Dec., 19, NVIDIA will host a “Beat Team 3D” exhibition competition,
in which gamers will have an opportunity to best members of one of the world’s
top professional gaming clans for prizes. Members of Team 3D, recent “gold
medal” winners of the World Cyber Games, will be available for interviews
throughout the event for any interested media.
