Gaming News - December 2003

Hollywood, CA (December 2, 2003) - Legacy Interactive announced today that it has partnered with Shockwave.com to launch the playable online demo for Law & Order II: Double or Nothing. Legacy Interactive released the game in late September.

From Legacy Interactive:

The Law & Order II: Double or Nothing online game gives players a taste of the storyline by allowing them to uncover primary clues of the case. With a notable scientist found shot to death in midtown Manhattan, game play begins as players arrive on scene with Detective Lennie Briscoe, searching the crime scene and collecting evidence. The discovered clues lead players to three key witnesses, the crime lab and medical examiner’s office, each providing crucial elements to the investigation process. Players are given an overall point score for their sleuth skills at the end of the demo. The demo is available today at www.shockwave.com/sw/content/lawandorder2 as well as at the game’s official Web site, www.lawandordergame.com.

Featuring accurate depictions of the award-winning Law & Order television franchise, including celebrity voiceovers from stars Jerry Orbach, Elisabeth Röhm and S. Epatha Merkerson. Law & Order II: Double or Nothing offers players a glimpse into the intricate worlds of criminal investigation and legal prosecution. With game play divided between the investigation and trial, players experience the storyline from a multitude of angles. In the detective role, players uncover clues leading to the murder of an esteemed scientist. As Assistant District Attorney, they prepare a case against the defendant and take to the courtroom, hoping to convince a jury to return a guilty verdict.

Law & Order II: Double or Nothing delivers an in-depth mystery adventure experience filled with intrigue and surprises. The game also offers some enhancements from the first Law & Order game, including improved graphics, new puzzle challenges and a variety of enhanced game play features. Exclusively for PC/CD-ROM, Law & Order II: Double or Nothing is rated T for Teen and available at retail outlets nationwide.
