information on The Sims Online's New Year's celebrations.

The Sims Online Celebrates New Year's Eve 2002!
The Sims Online will be the hottest place to throw your own online bash and
attend hundreds of virtual parties all day long. Whether it's a black tie affair
or an underground blowout, everything you need to host a fabulous and feral fete
with your friends is at your finger tips in The Sims Online.
The clothes make the Sim! The proper attire on New Year's Eve is a Sims
Online must. Any number of festive options are yours for the taking in The Sims
Online. Take a peak at the Uptown, Downtown Costume Collection for cutting edge
party wear or Wedding Fashions by Pandora to snap up the perfect tuxedo or
formal party frock.
It's all about the atmosphere! The ideal ambiance for a New Years blowout is
available for a few Simoleons with What A Gas party balloons, a Bounce My Booty
light-up dance floor, a Turntablitz DMK DJ booth, and Spazmatronic Plasmatronic
go-go cages. If a more understated affair is to your liking, the Zimantz
Component Hi-Fi stereo, Wurl 'N' Hurl retro jukebox, or a Bachmeier grand piano
are available to play a more subdued version of "Auld Lang Syne" for
your Sim guests.

December 31st, all players will receive their own free, exclusive, animated New
Year's Eve Top Hat object with a descending disco ball. They can place it
anywhere on their property for use all day long. This special holiday object
will automatically kick into party mode on the Sim hour, every Sim hour on New
Year's Eve. When that happens, players who "celebrate" with another
Sim by kissing them will receive a boost in their mood and a bonus payout of 50
Simoleons. Who needs to be rockin' in Times Square with Mr. Clark when you've
got smooching and Simoleons in The Sims Online?
