Gaming News - November 2004
Redwood City, CA (November 30, 2004) - Electronic Arts today announced
that Armies of Exigo for the PC has begun to ship to retail outlets.
From EA:
Armies of Exigo is a grand scale fantasy real-time strategy (RTS) game that
smashes the traditional boundaries of the battlefield with epic campaigns taking
place simultaneously above ground and below the surface.
Armies of Exigo locks elves, beasts, knights, and creatures of the darkness in
an epic battle for survival. Fighting foes on all sides, armies have the ability
to delve deep underground where they can travel unseen, or borrow up to the
surface to unleash powerful attacks on unsuspecting enemies. The gamer must
devise never-before-deployed strategies for combat and defense as attacks can
come from any direction. Players can engage in an epic three-part single-player
campaign and save the world of Exigo from the evil that threatens to plunge the
world into darkness or go online for massive multiplayer skirmishes with up to
twelve players, each one striving to conquer the surface and underworld.
Armies of Exigo is developed by Black Hole Games, a development studio launched
by Cinergi Interactive, a subsidiary of the award-winning motion picture
production company Cinergi Pictures Entertainment. Armies of Exigo is rated “T”
(Teen) by the ESRB and has an MSRP of $39.99. More information can be found on
the game’s web site at
