Diamond Bar, CA (November 22, 2002) - Netamin Communication
Corporation today announced the introduction of its first product, Ultimate
Baseball Online (UBO) Batting Zone. As a prelude to UBO, the UBO Batting Zone
allows players to familiarize with the batting features of UBO. UBO is
expected to ship in Spring 2003.
“Although this game is merely a teaser, it has much resemblance to UBO as far
as the batting aspects are concerned,” said Darrell Evans, a 21-year Major
League All-Star and Netamin Baseball Consultant. “ We pay a lot of attention to
how the ball is pitched and what the proper reactions from the batters are. It
is the real deal.”
From Netamin:
UBO Batting Zone is set in virtual 3D environment with realistic stadiums and
audience. It offers users new game play on batting, stunning graphics and
amazing audio reaction from audience. Users would log in as batters to face the
AI-generated pitching, coming in eleven varieties. Accuracy and power hitting
can be adjusted to suit individual’s batting preference. In each session, each
player will have ten chances at bat. Netamin will keep individual statistics as
well as rank players daily and weekly in accordance to their performance.
“UBO Batting Zone surpasses all other online baseball games by its sheer
graphic beauty and realistic motions,” said Andy Wang, CEO of Netamin. “We hope
to create a sense of community for baseball fans and avid gamers to play
baseball online any time they want.”
Netamin is the developer of UBO and UBO Batting Zone. After a 7-day free
trial, the game costs US$4.99. As the teaser is a prelude to UBO, US$4.99 will
be deducted from users’ next Netamin purchase if the users follow a program as
specified in
