Gaming News - November 2002

Redmond, WA (November 6, 2002) - Microsoft today announced details of their RalliSport Challenge contest.

From Microsoft:

WHAT: Kick-off the launch of RalliSport Challenge for the PC with a racing tournament to determine the country’s top cyber-racer.

The critically acclaimed Xbox game is now available on the PC! This exhilarating, knuckle gripping off-road racing experience combines four different types of Rally racing into one game: Hill Climb, RallyCross, Ice Racing and "traditional" Rally. Players can choose from 29 cars, 48 challenging tracks and several modes of play, including Internet multiplayer, while experiencing spectacular photo-realistic details unseen in a PC racing title.

RalliSport Challenge introduces a unique partnership with iGames computer centers, giving gamers and racing fans across the county a chance to participate in a nation-wide tournament to determine the best PC racer.

Competition will take place at more than 100 iGames centers nationwide and prizes will be distributed at the end of the tournament. Players will receive one (1) hour free to participate in the tournament, and then be ranked based on their best time on the designated track.

Prizes include the opportunity to become a beta tester for Microsoft Game Studios, copies of RalliSport Challenge for the PC, other Microsoft PC titles and nVidia geForce 4 video graphics cards.
