Redmond, WA (November 6, 2002) - Microsoft today announced details of
their RalliSport Challenge contest.
From Microsoft:
WHAT: Kick-off the launch of RalliSport Challenge for the PC with a racing
tournament to determine the country’s top cyber-racer.
The critically acclaimed Xbox game is now available on the PC! This
exhilarating, knuckle gripping off-road racing experience combines four
different types of Rally racing into one game: Hill Climb, RallyCross, Ice
Racing and "traditional" Rally. Players can choose from 29 cars, 48 challenging
tracks and several modes of play, including Internet multiplayer, while
experiencing spectacular photo-realistic details unseen in a PC racing title.
RalliSport Challenge introduces a unique partnership with iGames computer
centers, giving gamers and racing fans across the county a chance to participate
in a nation-wide tournament to determine the best PC racer.
Competition will take place at more than 100 iGames centers nationwide and
prizes will be distributed at the end of the tournament. Players will receive
one (1) hour free to participate in the tournament, and then be ranked based on
their best time on the designated track.
Prizes include the opportunity to become a beta tester for Microsoft Game
Studios, copies of RalliSport Challenge for the PC, other Microsoft PC titles
and nVidia geForce 4 video graphics cards.
