Redmond, WA (November 4, 2002) - Microsoft Game Studios today
announced that the official Impossible Creatures site is now live at
www.microsoft.com/games/impossiblecreatures.
From Microsoft:
Visitors will find strange creatures such as tigorpions, hyenbats and
spitting cheetahs invading the site. Gamers who have ever wondered what it would
be like to see a scorpion with a tiger's head can check out the creatures
section, which features many of the thousands of animal combinations possible
with Impossible Creatures. The official site also features information about the
structures, combat and story elements of Impossible Creatures, along with two
versions of a downloadable FSK (Fan Site Kit). Gamers can also find out more
information about the mod tools that will soon be available for this unique
real-time strategy game.
Set in the 1930s, Impossible Creatures is a 3-D RTS game that pits players
against an evil madman in a desperate campaign across a chain of remote and
diverse islands. Using Earth's most formidable animals as building blocks,
players create an army of genetically altered mutant monsters in a struggle to
protect an unsuspecting world. Impossible Creatures takes the RTS genre to the
next level with streamlined, fast-paced combat gameplay. Developed by Relic
Entertainment Inc., the title is scheduled for U.S. release on January 7, 2003.
