Fairfax, VA (October 11, 2005) - Mythic Entertainment today announced the release of Darkness Rising, an expansion pack for Dark Age of Camelot.

“There is a lot of challenging new content available to players in ‘Darkness Rising.’ There is an epic quest to save the Realms, customizable player-controlled mounts, and new champion weapons. “Darkness Rising” is included, along with the original game and the five earlier expansions, in the new “Dark Age of Camelot: Epic Edition” which ships to retailers today. Suggested retail price is $39.99.

“Darkness Rising” requires the original “Dark Age of Camelot,” and “Catacombs” expansion to play. Former players returning to the game can re-activate their account, regain their original characters and take advantage of the online availability of the expansion.

A 14-day free trial of “Dark Age of Camelot,” which includes the original game as well as the “Shrouded Isles,” “Foundations,” and “New Frontiers” expansions, is available for download from www.darkageofcamelot.com/downloads.
