Gaming News - September 2005
New York, NY (September 30, 2005) - MTV2 today announced that it will
air a brand new episode of Video Mods on MTV2, Friday, September 30th at 9 PM
From MTV2:
On deck for tonight’s episode of Video Mods: Unwritten Law’s “Save Me” is
recreated with X-Men Legends: Rise Of The Apocalypse, Ciara’s “1,2 Step” is
overhauled with Dance Dance Revolution, Hoobastank’s and their song, “The
Reason,” is featured with Dungeon Lords, and finally, Jimmy Eat World’s “Pain,”
reconstructed with Juiced.
In addition, the newest installment of MTV2's Video Mods will feature a
series of animated short interstitials created by The ILL Clan, a group of
animators widely acknowledged as pioneers of Machinima, a new animation
technique that uses video game technology to create original animation. Best
known for their “Still Seeing Breen” Machinima which utilized the Half-Life 2
engine, the ILL Clan made their first Machinima short in 1998 and have continued
to innovate this nascent art form since. Now, the ILL Clan takes Machinima to
the next level by creating new, original Machinima sharts for upcoming episodes
of MTV2’s Video Mods. The first group of new Machinima sharts featured in this
week’s episode is collectively called "Cyborg Girl."
