Gaming News - September 2002
Phoenix, AZ (September 12, 2002) - Arush Games announced today that
the official site for their upcoming first person shooter Devastation has gone
live.
From Arush:
www.DevastationGame.com is now
open, and we have released three brand-spanking new screenshots of this
next-generation Unreal engine powered game. Devastation is a cyber-punkish FPS
set in a technology dark age in the near future. A handful of huge corporations
control the remaining technology, and command a ruthless force of Pacification
Squad troopers who terrorize the citizens of the various territories. The only
law is martial law in this future, but you and a group of "disloyalists" have
banded together and formed a resistance.
As the leader of the resistance, you'll lead a group of NPC teammates through
territories in the former United States and in the Far East. You'll be able to
give your teammates orders, or with their advanced AI, they will be able to
fight on their own and help you take down the corporations...and you're gonna
need their help. You'll also have 40+ weapons ranging from knives, pistols and
assault rifles to broken bottles, particle laser rifles and telekinetically
controlled Rat Bombs. The future's a scary place, but your resistance could be
the beginning of a full-blown revolution...if you play your cards right.
At www.DevastationGame.com,
you'll be able to check out new screenshots, see what others are saying about
the game, read about the its features, sign up for updates, and even pre-order a
copy of the game. As new items come available, such as wallpapers, movies,
contests and demos, you'll be able to get them from the site as well.
