Gaming News - August 2003
Oslo, Norway (August 13, 2003) - Funcom today announced that the
release of Shadowlands has been delayed.
From Funcom:
Funcom announced today that the release date of Anarchy Online: Shadowlands
has been pushed back from August 26th to September 9th.
"With Shadowlands, we are literally adding a whole new dimension to our
game," explained Funcom CEO, Trond Aas. "The scope of the project is huge, and
we have found that we need a couple of more weeks of testing and balancing
before launching the expansion."
While fans will have to wait another two weeks for the expansion, Trond Aas
is certain it will be worth the wait. "I'm convinced everyone will see the sense
in our decision. The extra wait will be long forgotten once they start exploring
the marvelous world of Shadowlands."
The expansion pack will include the full version of Anarchy Online, Anarchy
Online - Notum Wars and Anarchy Online - Shadowlands, as well as one month of
included game-time for new accounts. Suggested retail price is USD/EUR 29.99.
Customers who pre-order Shadowlands prior to launch are entitled to an exclusive
luxury apartment in the floating city of Jobe.
