Gaming News - July 2004
Austin, TX (July 20, 2004) - NCsoft Corporation and Cryptic Studios,
developer of City of Heroes, today announced plans for this year’s Comic-Con
show at the San Diego Convention Center July 22 through July 25.
From NCsoft:
The NCsoft booth will feature City of Heroes, which is a massively
multiplayer online game that enables players to create the costumes and powers
for their own, uniquely designed superhero and fight villains in the fictional
Paragon City.
Comic-Con attendees will be able to meet the development team, see live
demonstrations of the game and will be able to create their own superheroes
using the game’s character creation tool. Jack “Statesman” Emmert will hold
comic book hero and villain trivia contests and Rick Dakan of Blue King Studios
will be on hand to sign the City of Heroes comic book, one of the most widely
distributed comics in the U.S. Additionally, noted comic artists Mike Kunkel,
Scott Sava, and Scott Kurtz will make appearances at the booth to sign their
special Comic-Con poster, “Heroes by Night,” which showcases the heroes they
created and use in City of Heroes.
Also shown at the booth will be NCsoft’s graphically stunning Lineage II: The
Chaotic Chronicle, an online game with intense player-on-player combat and
dramatic large-scale castle sieges.
Attendees can find the NCsoft booth in the electronic entertainment section of
the expo: Hall G, booth number 4323.
