Foster City, CA (June 27, 2006) - Sony has announced that tarting
today, June 27th, SOCOM 3 Map Pack #1 will become available for online download
on the PlayStation 2 from within SOCOM 3: US Navy SEALs.
From Sony:
For the first two weeks of public release (June 27th, 2006 to July 11th,
2006) players will be able to download and play SOCOM 3 Map Pack #1 for no
charge. After the two week trial period has ended on July 11th, 2006, players
will be asked to purchase SOCOM 3 Map Pack #1 for $5.99 in order to continue
playing.
Further background on SOCOM 3 Map Pack #1:
- Contains the classic SOCOM II HDD levels After Hours, Liberation and Last
Bastion.
- After Hours is an urban map inspired by the Korean city of Seoul and is
playable with up to 16 players in Suppression, Demolition and Control
gametypes in a day or night setting.
- Liberation is based on a North African seaside city. It is playable with
up to 16 players in Suppression, Demolition, Control and Escort gametypes in a
day or night setting.
- Last Bastion is set in rural Albania at the ruins of a riverside castle.
It is playable with up to 16 players in Suppression, Extraction, Breach and
Control gametypes in day or night setting.
