Gaming News - June 2004
New York, NY (June 1, 2004) - Kuma\War has launched Samarra Stryker
Brigade, the company’s third mission re-created from Samarra, Iraq.
From Kuma\War:
Taking place during one of the most volatile periods in the war, just days
after Saddam Hussein’s capture, the newest mission from Kuma\War re-creates an
actual Styker mission which took place in Samarra, Iraq, in the Sunni Triangle.
Samarra Stryker Brigade occurs as soldiers of the Stryker Brigade are ambushed
by insurgents using schoolchildren as human shields. The revolutionary tactics
of the Stryker Brigade and the capabilities of this much-heralded vehicle are
put to the test.
Based on extensive research and expert military analysis from Kuma’s team of
decorated military advisors, Kuma\War Samarra Stryker Brigade puts players in an
intense 3D re-creation of the battle so they can experience it for themselves,
and judge the effectiveness of the Stryker – a product of the US Army’s next
generation of tactical theory.
In the coming weeks, subscribers can expect to receive more missions that
further explore the explosive situation in Iraq leading up to the June 30
hand-over of power, including missions in Fallujah and in Baghdad’s Sadr City.
Also soon to be released is a package of three tactical simulations created by
Kuma Military Analyst Staff Sergeant Dan Snyder, designed specifically for
multiplayer. Kuma will also respond to breaking news events as they occur around
the world.
Kuma\War is available for download and free trial at www.kumawar.com and can be
purchased for a $9.99 per month subscription fee. As a salute to the men and
women in uniform who have served their countries, Kuma Reality Games will donate
$1 of all paid subscriptions to The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which was
created to assist the families of the nation's fallen heroes killed in duty.
Kuma Reality Games is offering a free subscription to Kuma\War to everyone with
a “.mil” email address until June 30th.
