(June 20, 2003) - XCast today announced that they are seeking
shoutcasters for Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Quake 3 Arena.
From XCast:
XCast, a community-oriented gaming radio station, has partnered with
Speakeasy (www.speakeasy.net), the nation's largest independent broadband
provider, to
launch a multifaceted broadcast network dedicated to the gaming community. Via
www.x-cast.net, XCast will utilize Speakeasy's high-performance national network
to
broadcast gaming content worldwide, including the latest in news, tournaments
and
matches. XCast will cover multiple perspectives of numerous events to provide
gamers
with the most robust coverage available. In addition to high-quality radio
streams, XCast
will offer IRC Scorebots, and GTV coverage for some tournament and league
matches.
Speakeasy, known as a gamer-friendly ISP, hosts multiplayer servers throughout
its
nationwide network, as well as the entire Fileshack.com download service.
XCast, the official shoutcast station of QuakeCon 2003, is announcing a call for
Return to
Castle Wolfenstein and Quake 3 Arena shoutcasters. The shoutcasters should have
some
prior on-air experience and be available for the QuakeCon event. XCast will be
accepting
demos from all shoutcasters regardless of current station affiliation.
XCast is looking for 15+ minute demos of you casting either an RtCW Stopwatch,
Enemy Territory, Quake 3 Arena 1v1 or Quake 3 Arena CTF matches. The matches do
not have to be official and clan scrimmages, public servers, and the like will
be accepted
as demos.
