Gaming News - May 2006
New York, NY (May 17, 2006) - Paradox Interactive today announced the
release of a mod tool for Take Command: 2nd Manassas.
From Paradox Interactive:
The tool will allow players to work on the source files to all of the
scenarios, without needing programming skills. It allows players to change
almost any aspect of the game and make it look like a completely different game
if desired. Players can add their own uniforms, toolbar, scenarios, formations,
explosions, artwork, weapon types, fonts, skill levels, sounds, names, mod
themselves into the scenarios, screens, and change aspects of the game that
affect all scenarios.
In addition, the WarPack tool will compress a scenario folder into an easily
distributable .mmg file so players can share their work. It will also allow
players to edit the original .csv files where players do not have their own
spreadsheet program.
