Weston, CT (May 4, 2005) - Got Game Entertainment today announced
that it has reached a co-publishing agreement with Merscom to bring WWII Tank
Commander to North American retail.
From Got Game:
In command of a Sherman tank in General Patton’s Fourth Armored Division,
players destroy enemy armor and infantry, escort Allied convoys, rescue
hostages, and help free Europe from Nazi rule. Along with detailed WWII-era
environments and eye-catching special effects setting the backdrop for battle,
"WWII Tank Commander" immerses the player even more in the rich and heroic
history of "Patton’s Best" with a bonus vividly detailed chapter from the book
"Patton’s Vanguard: The United States Army Fourth Armored Division". Developed
by Sylum Entertainment Ltd, "WWII Tank Commander" is slated for a June 2005
release and will retail for a consumer-friendly $19.99 (USD).
Boasting knock-out sound with EAX(R) ADVANCED HD(TM) 4.0 with any Creative Lab's
sound card and AMD64-optimization, gunfire, mines, tracer fire, and explosions
enhance the "WWII Tank Commander" experience. In more than 30 objectives over 10
levels, players cut off the enemy at the Brittany Peninsula, escort Allied
convoys, smash Nazi forces across the Moselle, relieve the besieged 101st
Airborne at Bastogne, cross the Rhine, drive German forces out of France, and
more.
"This is an easy and tremendously fun to play game with a great historical
background," said Got Game Entertainment President Howard Horowitz. "Got Game is
definitely pleased to be able to help bring ‘WWII Tank Commander’ to the North
American market."
Additional information for "WWII Tank Commander" is continually updated on the
