New York, NY (May 25, 2004) - Codemasters announced today the
availability of a demo for Soldiers: Heroes of World War II. Soldiers: Heroes of
World War II will be released in the United States in June.
From Codemasters:
In the playable demo, players begin by finding their Colonel severely injured
in action as he lies battle-scarred in a building on the outskirts of Northern
France. The German army is approaching from all directions and by all means – on
foot, in APCs, in trucks and in Tiger tanks. Players must seek heroism from
their men to protect the Colonel and themselves against the enemy.
Soldiers: Heroes of World War II is an explosive, fast-paced tactical game
playing out like a wartime action movie, complete with a stunning physics
engine. With an exciting mix of third person, against-all-odds missions set in
realistic, fully destructible environments, players command small, highly
trained teams of special forces behind enemy lines. Overall, the player’s
objective is to get in, decide how to execute a mission and get out fast!
Players can also take direct control of individual soldiers and vehicles with a
simple mouse click, making it easier than ever for units to take out enemy
targets, grab weapons and drive tanks.
Players will experience all the daring missions, where bold decisions and
reckless heroics are the order of the day, when Soldiers: Heroes of World War II
is published by Codemasters for PC/CD-ROM this June. For more information and to
access the new playable demo, please visit:
