Gaming News - May 2004
New York, NY (May 24, 2004) - Kuma\War has launched its second mission
from Fallujah, Iraq -- Fallujah Abizaid Attack. Based on the February 12, 2004
assassination attempt on General John P. Abizaid, commander of all U.S. forces
in the Middle East, Fallujah Abizaid Attack re-creates the General’s narrow
escape and the swift counter-attack by America’s 82nd Airborne Division and
friendly Iraqi troops as they hunt down the insurgent attackers.
From Kuma\War:
Based on extensive research and expert military analysis from Kuma’s
decorated team of military advisors, Kuma\War re-creates multiple incidents
leading up to the current crisis in Fallujah. In Fallujah Abizaid Attack players
have the opportunity to explore and question the crucial events surrounding the
failed attack on General Abizaid, including the brutal police station raid just
two days later that killed 17 newly trained Iraqi Police Officers, (Kuma\War
playable mission Fallujah Police Station Raid), in Fallujah Vigilant Resolve
players join the Marine 1st Expeditionary Force as they advance upon the core of
the Iraqi resistance.
“At Kuma Reality Games we are an important adjunct to traditional news. Our
immersive 3-D tools simulate the experience of being with the troops in the
streets of Fallujah. We give players a better appreciation of the tactical
aspects of these events and a closer connection to the individuals who are
putting themselves at real risk in Iraq today,” said Keith Halper, CEO of Kuma
Reality Games.
In the coming weeks, subscribers can expect to receive more missions that
further explore the explosive situation in Iraq leading up to the June 30
hand-over of power. Kuma will also respond to breaking news events as they occur
around the world.
Kuma\War is available for download and free trial at
www.kumawar.com and can be
purchased for a $9.99 per month subscription fee. As a salute to the men and
women in uniform who have served their countries, Kuma Reality Games will donate
