New York, NY (May 6, 2004) - Myelin Media today announced its first
title, Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile (Children of the Nile) for PC will
debut this month during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and will ship
this fall.
From Myelin Media:
Created by Tilted Mill Entertainment, an innovative development studio
comprised of industry vets who pioneered the category, Children of the Nile is a
quantum leap in city building games via its use of 3D and unique human behavior
technologies.
Chris Beatrice, president of Tilted Mill and Director of Development states:
"Children of the Nile is both the apex of evolution in city building,
representing a massive leap forward in an otherwise stagnant genre and,
paradoxically, what this genre should have been all along. It is one of those
rare games where a unique synergy of components produces an extraordinarily deep
and meaningful experience for the person playing it."
"Working with Tilted Mill on Children of the Nile was a very easy decision
for us. The rich team history, clear design vision and outstanding execution
match Myelin's product criteria perfectly," said Gene Mauro, chief executive
officer of Myelin Media. "The prior achievements of this team have continually
set new precedents for the category and we believe Children of the Nile
represents a substantial leap for an entire segment of the PC games market."
Tilted Mill and Myelin also announced the launch of the official Children of
the Nile web site at
www.childrenofthenilegame.com. The site offers visitors an early glimpse of
the spectacular scope of the game, as well as information on a variety of topics
including ancient Egypt, and game development. The forums on the new site serve
as the ideal destination for people to join the growing Children of the Nile
community.
