Gaming News - April 2006
Rohnert Park, CA (April 13, 2006) - S2 Games announced today that it
is extending the sign-up date for gamers wishing to be a part of their closed
beta process for Savage: A Tortured Soul, to June 1, 2006.
From S2 Games:
Launching in the Fall of 2006, Savage 2: A Tortured Soul, the highly
anticipated sequel to Savage: The Battle for Newerth, will be available for
purchase as an online download from the S2 Games Website at $29.99 USD.
With guaranteed approval, pre-order customers will be notified once the beta
testing begins and will be invited to visit the beta testing site, enter their
account credentials and download the game files. This added incentive to
pre-ordering before June 1, 2006 will give users an early look at the game, and
more importantly, will see their feedback help shape the final product.
“Our decision to offer instant beta approval to those who pre-order Savage 2
has been wildly received,” said Marc DeForest, co-founder and lead designer, S2
Games. “Due to this tremendous success, we want to extend the opportunity for
others to be a part of our beta testing phase, which begins in July 2006.
Ultimately, we want to give more people a chance to be a part of the beta phase
so we can make the best game possible.”
When playing the beta, S2 Games wishes to impart on its fans and customers to
remember that they will be playing an unfinished version of the game. Users
should expect to encounter bugs and other issues which may affect their ability
to enjoy the game. The purpose of beta is to help S2 Games find and correct
those problems so that they are not encountered at launch.
