Santa Clara, CA (April 6, 2006) - Namco Bandai announced today that
World Rally Championship for the PSP has gone gold.
From Namco Bandai:
With all of the heart-pounding thrills, death-defying courses and authentic
cars and drivers from the 2005 WRC season, WRC allows gamers to experience the
rush of rally car racing from anywhere on the globe. Developed by Traveller’s
Tales, WRC will be available April 18 and is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB.
“Rally cars are engineered to go anywhere under any condition so it is aptly
fitting that we bring the only official FIA World Rally video game to the PSP
system; a system that was also designed to go anywhere, “said Jeff Lujan,
Business Director at NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. “Racing fans and PSP system
owners will be able to practically taste the mud with the high-octane thrills
provided by WRC.”
The only official game of the FIA World Rally Championship, WRC offers a
complete World Rally Championship season across five continents and 16
countries, and includes a vast array of wild terrains and surfaces including
such first-time locations as the streets of Japan and the hills of Mexico.
WRC is based around the 2005 season and features 30 official and fully
deformable 2005 WRC, Evolution, and Extreme spec cars from leading manufacturers
such as Ford, Subaru and Mitsubishi, as well as all 36 official WRC 2005 drivers
and co-drivers.
Offering 64 Super Specials Stages on gravel, tarmac and snow, WRC
incorporates six exciting game modes encompassing single and multiplayer levels,
