Gaming News - April 2005
Cary, NC (April 21, 2005) - CDV today announced their E3 2005
videogame lineup.
From CDV:
This year CDV will be showing five games, including one unannounced title
(War Leaders: Clash of Nations) available only by appointment, and the eagerly
anticipated Codename: Panzers, Phase Two and Blitzkrieg II. It's going to be an
exciting lineup for CDV this year, and if you'd like to book an appointment for
a booth tour, please let us know, as our appointments are rapidly filling up.
American Conquest: Divided Nation
Divided Nation is the heir to the successful American Conquest RTS series. CDV
and GSC GameWorld return to offer the player an opportunity to experience the
American Civil War and key events immediately prior to and following the
conflict that changed the United States. In Divided Nation, players take on
multiple roles in 19th century America, including Civil War General, pirate
commander and militia leader in the Texas War of Independence.
Blitzkrieg II
Return to the battlefields of World War II in the much anticipated sequel to the
award-winning Blitzkrieg. Play as the Soviet Union, Germany or the United States
as you command troops through historically inspired battles in an expansive
chapter-driven campaign system of over 90 missions. More than 200 unit types are
available for action that rages across all new 3D renderings of Northern Africa,
Europe, the Eastern Front and the Pacific theater. Key features include direct
control of air forces, naval units and coastal operations, a fully destructible
environment, a full-featured editor and the series’ trademark attention to
detail and historical authenticity.
Codename: Panzers, Phase Two
The Panzers are back on the attack. Phase Two offers gamers everything they
enjoyed about the original and then some. This time the player takes command of
forces in Northern Africa, the Mediterranean and the Balkans as Axis, Allies or
Yugoslavian resistance fighters. Already known for its genre-defying combat
action, Phase Two also offers an improved 3D graphics engine and AI for even
more amazing, nail-biting game play. Pedigreed Hollywood screenwriters and voice
talent provide a compelling, immersive story as the ideal backdrop against which
armchair generals compete for supremacy.
War Front: Turning Point
What would happen if Hitler had been assassinated early on in WWII and the
German war engine came under control of a new regime? Digital Reality and CDV
aim to answer that question in War Front: Turning Point, bringing gamers an
"alternate reality" strategy game. Gamers will be exposed to a whole new WWII
timeline, new battles and a variety of secret and experimental weapons.
Eye-popping graphics and a refreshing plot will keep gamers pinned to their PCs
as they attempt to alter or ensure the historical outcome of World War II.
War Leaders: Clash of Nations
In War Leaders, gamers will assume the role of historical commanders, in an
attempt to lead their nations to victory in World War II through economic,
diplomatic and military means. Players must lead their nations both on and off
the battlefield, negotiating with allies while crushing those who dare oppose
them.
