Gaming News - April 2003
Tucson, AZ (April 10, 2003) - Running with Scissors today announced
that POSTAL 2 will be in stores April 14, 2003.
From Running with Scissors:
Beyond "Intense Violence," POSTAL 2 enjoys the Entertainment Software Rating
Board's livid labels of "Mature Humor, Adult Language, Use of Drugs and Blood
and Gore."
"Over the past week, our GoPostal.com website's been obliterated by incoming
hits," spat out a gung-ho Vince Desi, Running With Scissors' Mad Minister of
Mayhem. "We live by our infamous motto, 'It's always funny until someone gets
hurt... and then it's absolutely friggin' hysterical.' We made POSTAL 2 for our
fans - not for politicians, parents or 'penis challenged' critics."
Bravely published by Whiptail Interactive, POSTAL 2 brings a whole new sick
and twisted perspective to videogaming. Joining the Postal Dude on a crusade of
carnage is notorious TV star Gary Coleman, who romps through the brilliantly
conceived gamescape flanking graphically exploding heads, rivers of urine, vomit
and oceans of blood - not to mention the occasional screaming cat being stuffed
onto the muzzle of a shotgun.
"Our fans are truly amazing," bragged the devoted Desi. "The original
Postal's appeal goes far beyond its controversial subject matter, and POSTAL 2's
sheer outrageousness promises to expand the Postal Dude's cult-like following."
"Sadly, the world's a troubled place, but if you can't sit back, relax, and
enjoy the utter absurdity of it all with some intense violence, mature humor,
adult language, drugs, blood and gore every now and then - what's the point?"
exalted a proudly patriotic P. Dude.
POSTAL 2 will be available in North America, Europe, Japan and Russia to
start.
