Redwood City, CA (April 8, 2003) - Electronic Arts/Maxis has released
a second SimCity 4 update that improves game performance for both minimum
specifications and high end machines.
From Maxis:
The performance improvements include more responsiveness when scrolling and
zooming, as well as faster simulation in large cities. Additionally, in response
to fans initial feedback, Maxis has delivered on many of their suggestions to
augment the gameplay of SimCity 4. A sample of the enhanced features include
graphs, improved user interfaces for tax, budget, and region views, as well as
better visual distinction between distressed and abandon buildings. Other fixes
include issues related to highway connections, neighbor deals, and life
expectancy. In addition, the update adjusts tuning to make the creation of large
cities with skyscrapers easier and quicker.
Downloading this update will include fixes from the first update released in
February.
