Seoul, South Korea (March 12, 2007) - The World Cyber Games today
announced the addition of two new games to its 2007 competition lineup.
From WCG:
Joining the roster are Tony Hawk’s Project 8 for the Xbox 360 and Carom3D for
the PC. With 12 official titles, the WCG now boasts the most games ever in a
major e-Sport competition and makes major strides to engage a broader mainstream
global audience.
Tony Hawk’s Project 8 and Carom3D join a lineup of 10 previously announced
titles including:
- Starcraft: Brood War (PC)
- WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne (PC)
- Half-Life: Counter-Strike(PC)
- Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars (PC)
- Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs (PC)
- FIFA Soccer 07 (PC)
- Need For Speed Carbon (PC)
- Gears of War (Xbox 360)
- Dead or Alive 4 (Xbox 360)
- Project Gotham Racing 3 (Xbox 360)
“The additions of Tony Hawk’s Project 8 – the premiere skateboarding title -
and Carom3D – the ultimate interactive billiards experience – are the coup de
grace to what is the most prolific lineup of games in e-Sports competition
history,” said Hyoung-Seok Kim, CEO of International Cyber Marketing (ICM), the
global organizer of WCG. “Our diverse and expanding lineup of titles has
something for everyone and will certainly make this the most exciting and
compelling WCG tournament ever.”
