Gaming News - March 2006
Montreal, Canada (March 23, 2006) - Strategy First announced today
that Battle of Europe has shipped to retailers nationwide.
From Strategy First:
“We’re very happy to announce that Battle of Europe has shipped,” said Jay
Podilchuk, Executive Producer at Strategy First. “Finally a WWII flight game
where you don’t actually have to know how to fly a plane to shoot down the
enemy!”
“We are really excited that this game is now available to North American
customers,” said Illya Tkachuck, Product/Marketing Manager at Maus Software. “In
the World War II era, there were no complicated automatic systems inside
aircrafts: pilots controlled everything by themselves. Our game gives players
the possibility to experience that reality first-hand.”
Battle of Europe is a fully 3D arcade action game. Taking place in the skies
over Europe, players are taken through breathtaking terrain modeled for London,
Norway, Dunkirk, and Berlin.
Whether the sortie puts the player in the seat of a traditional British
Spitfire, or behind the throttle of a captured German prototype, the honor of
the RAF must be maintained at all costs in order to keep the Axis forces at bay!
Battle of Europe is now available at Best Buy, for a suggested retail price
of $19.99. Battle of Europe is rated E-10 for Everyone 10 and older, by the ESRB.
